A trailblazer in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, Dr Ian Weisberg Niceville Florida has emerged as a transformative figure in heart rhythm care across Florida’s Emerald Coast. Renowned for his clinical excellence, commitment to innovation, and deeply patient-centered approach, he has revolutionized how arrhythmias are diagnosed and treated in the region—bringing hope and healing to thousands.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr Ian Weisberg Niceville Florida demonstrated early aptitude as both a scholar and an athlete. He was awarded “All Southwest” honors in soccer and played a vital role in helping The Greenhill School win a national championship in tennis. These formative experiences instilled the values of focus, discipline, and leadership—qualities that would shape his future in medicine.

He pursued his undergraduate education at Emory University, where he earned a B.A. in Economics while fulfilling premedical requirements. His academic path also included international studies at the London School of Economics and the Institute of Italian Studies in Florence. These global experiences helped Dr Ian Weisberg Niceville Florida develop a well-rounded view of health care systems and patient needs, enriching his medical perspective. He later returned to Emory University School of Medicine to earn his medical degree, where his interest in cardiology and complex arrhythmia care began to take root.

Following medical school, Dr Ian Weisberg Niceville Florida completed a highly competitive Internal Medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital through the University of Texas Southwestern—one of the country’s top clinical training centers. He then went on to serve as Chief Fellow during his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Florida – Jacksonville, where he gained recognition for both his clinical skills and leadership. To further refine his expertise, he completed an advanced fellowship in Clinical and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Chicago, where he trained in life-saving procedures including atrial fibrillation ablation, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), pacemaker and ICD implantation, and the Watchman device.

Upon relocating to the Florida Panhandle, Dr Ian Weisberg Niceville Florida established the region’s first electrophysiology lab at Gulf Breeze Hospital. His work earned him “We Care” Doctor of the Year honors in 2012 and 2014. Always an advocate for innovation, he became one of the first U.S. physicians to perform the Biotronik DX ICD implant, underscoring his forward-thinking approach to patient care.

Seeing the need for wider access to specialized care, Dr Ian Weisberg Niceville Florida expanded EP services to North Okaloosa Medical Center and HCA Fort Walton-Destin.
